The Buildings and Grounds Department is dedicated to maintaining the district’s facilities, ensuring our buildings, grounds, and systems operate smoothly, efficiently, and safely. We focus on creating an environment that supports the educational mission of the district by providing reliable, cost-effective services that promote safety, security, and cleanliness across all properties.

Our team is responsible for the upkeep of mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and overall facility maintenance, ensuring that students, staff, and visitors can thrive in a secure, healthful environment. We take pride in enhancing the appearance and functionality of our buildings and grounds, always striving for excellence while being mindful of cost-efficiency.

Our Mission

The primary goal of the Buildings and Grounds Department is to provide a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment where the district can accomplish its educational objectives. We aim to extend the life and maximize the potential of all district facilities, minimize disruptions, and ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Maximize Facility Performance: Extend the life and improve the functionality of facilities to ensure they perform at their highest potential.
  • Minimize Disruptions: Reduce operating interruptions, equipment breakdowns, and structural failures.
  • Increase Productivity: Enhance the effectiveness of our maintenance and operations personnel by improving work methods and procedures.
  • Cost-Effective Solutions: Select and implement the most cost-effective maintenance and operational strategies.
  • Fire & Safety Hazard Reduction: Identify and mitigate fire and safety hazards to ensure the security of all district buildings.
  • Maintain Aesthetic Standards: Improve and sustain the visual appeal of our facilities and grounds.
  • Energy Conservation: Implement energy-saving programs that meet all codes and regulations, while reducing environmental impact.

Maintenance Requests

For any maintenance requests or concerns, please contact your building's custodian directly. They are your first point of contact for addressing issues related to the upkeep of your school or facility. Our custodians work closely with the Buildings and Grounds Department to ensure that all maintenance needs are handled promptly and efficiently, helping to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

If further assistance is needed, custodians will escalate requests to the Buildings and Grounds Department for additional support.
