Act 20 - Literacy Plan
The implementation of the requirements of Wisconsin Act 20 focuses our work at the elementary level on increasing the number of our students reading on grade level by the end of third grade.
This focus is in alignment with the mission of the Two Rivers Public School District which states that we will "Empower every individual to learn and thrive in a dynamic world by building community, championing diversity, and leading for positive change." The child participates in culturally inclusive science-based early reading instruction through the district’s core ELA curriculum of Wit and Wisdom, Geodes, and Really Great Reading. The child will also participate in small group instruction within classroom literacy instruction to receive differentiated skill development support.
Who Do I Contact with Questions?
If you have questions about the development of Personal Reading Plans, student assessment data, dyslexia or special education, please contact your school’s principal or classroom teacher.
