Grade 5 Science - LBC Email Phone: (920) 794-1614, Ext. 4007 Teaching Experience: I began my teaching career in 1998 at C. C. Case with a 3/4 split, then I taught fifth grade for two years at Koenig, one more year of fifth grade at Case (before it closed) and I have been at L. B. Clarke Middle School since 2004.
Teaching Subjects: While I was an elementary teacher, I taught all of the core subjects including Reading, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Math. Since I have been in the middle school, I have mostly focused on one subject. During my first six years at Clarke, I taught only Social Studies and now I am teaching Science full time. This year I will again be teaching science four times a day. I have also worked at summer school for many years. I also do chess club and co-coordinate the National Junior Honor Society chapter at Clarke. The other place your children may see me is as a volunteer at the Lester Public Library helping with programs and presenters.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Western Illinois University, 1995.
Master of Education - Professional Development from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, 2011.
Family: I am married to Terry Ehle, Youth Services Coordinator and the Publicity Chair at the Lester Public Library in Two Rivers. We have three daughters: Rosie, Alice, and Susie.
Rosie is a Freshman at Carthage College in Kenosha. Alice is a Junior at TRHS and is very involved. Alice loves everything art and works in her studio regularly. Susie is an 8th Grader at Clarke. Susie has become quite the basketball fan and is on Clarke team, but she also enjoys bike riding, playing games and with Legos, playing with her friends, and watching Marvel movies.
My daughters are all really into theater and are regular performers for the Treehouse Theater company. They also play the piano amazingly well, which is something, considering that their mother and I are not very musical.
Pastimes: My family really enjoys taking vacations during the spring and summer and even Thanksgiving and Christmas. In 2009 we began to travel to all of the 50 state capitals and their capitol buildings. We have now made it past the halfway mark with 31. We've driven to almost all with the only exceptions being Santa Fe, New Mexico and Austin, Texas.
My whole family also enjoys camping, hiking, bike riding, watching Netflix and super hero movies, and of course, READING. All of us are big readers and love comparing our most recent books. Personally, I am a huge life-long Packer Fan, I'm on a bowling team at Meadow Lanes North, and I play fantasy football online with my friends and family.
Fun Facts: My family has NO pets. I have many odd skills: I can juggle (a little), mountain bike (trail riding) and kick around a Hacky sack (half-decently), play the harmonica (badly), do origami and play chess (pretty well), collect yo-yos (about 2 dozen), and I love to sing camp songs (loudly and with lots of silly faces and actions). I am often known by the students as the "funny teacher." Sometimes I also am known as the loud teacher, but I don't mind.
