1.2. Parent/Guardian Information

  • Financial Information: (For fee-based services) Payment history, and limited financial data related to school lunch programs or activity fees.

1.3. Staff Information

  • Personal Identifiers: Name, address, date of birth, social security number, and contact information.

  • Employment Information: Resume, application, employment history, qualifications, performance reviews, salary, benefits, and disciplinary actions.

  • Background Check Information: Criminal history, professional licenses, and certifications.

  • Health Information: (As required for employment or benefits) Medical information relevant to work accommodations or benefits.

1.4. Website and Technology Usage Information

  • Log Data: IP addresses, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and access times.

3.1. Within the District

In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), parents/guardians of students under 18, and students aged 18 or older or attending a post-secondary institution ("eligible students"), have the right to:

  • Inspect and review the student's education records.

  • Request an amendment to education records they believe are inaccurate or misleading.

  • Consent to disclosures of personally identifiable information contained in the student's education records, except to the extent that FERPA authorizes disclosure without consent.

  • File a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures by the District to comply with FERPA.

The District will provide annual notice of these rights.

5.2. Opt-Out of Directory Information

The District may designate certain student information as "directory information" (e.g., student's name, address, phone number, date and place of birth, major field of study, participation in officially recognized activities and sports, weight and height of members of athletic teams, dates of attendance, degrees and awards received, and the most recent previous educational agency or institution attended). Parents/guardians and eligible students have the right to opt-out of the disclosure of directory information. Instructions for opting out will be provided annually.
